In our town centre around Christmas, this shop called Hawkin’s Bazaar opens up. I’ve seen some that are permanent in cities, like in London or somewhere, but this one only opens through December, then closes down and we have to wait another year for it’s wonderful-ness. I’ve never actually looked properly inside it before until yesterday.
AND IT IS AWESOME.
There were so many things I want for Christmas now. At first I thought it was mostly rubbish as they had a talking monkey toy in the window. But then I saw they had Sooty and Sweep hand puppets and that changed my mind completely. I LOVE SWEEP. And they even had little squeaky things inside the head that made the exact same noise as the real one.
And they had stylophones! I thought they would be very expensive but they are only £13 there! I want one~ And also they had several Rubik’s Cubes in there too.
And they had Clangers dolls~ If you pressed their bodies they would make a Clanger noise, and I recognised it from QI as it is saying ‘Oh sod it, the bloody thing’s stuck again.’ !!! And they had plushie Bagpusses. Best Shop Ever.
